Watch Video: RCB batter teases Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. His clever reply goes viral

Rajasthan Royals young batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was involved in a light-hearted moment with Jitesh Sharma, who is the wicket-keeper of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The banter started after Jitesh teased the 15-year-old about his bat. The clip of their conversation has gone viral on social media. Jitesh was checking the bat of Vaibhav and thanked him. Sooryavanshi responded in his style.

“Arey bhai ohh, aap kyu kar rahein ho?” (Hey brother, why are you doing this?). He also had a conversation with  RR team manager Romi Bhinder.

“Maine inko ek trick samjhayi, yeh trick mere upar aazma rahe hain. Inke team mein itne batters hai, unse nahi le rahe.” (I taught him a trick, and he is using it on me. There are batters in his team, but he is not asking them).

Jitesh continued to tease Vaibhav.  “Kyu maangu yaar, kya maanga, ek ko bhi puch ke bata maine maanga toh.” (Why should I ask someone else? Tell me, if I have asked for it from anyone else).

Sooryavanshi responded quickly.  “Apko maine bola than na, IPL ke baad main de dunga. Phir bhi apko zid hain ke abhi hi chaiye aapko.” (I told you that I will give you after the IPL, but you are adamant on taking it now).

Coming to the match, Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag won the toss and invited Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to bat first in Match 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Baraspara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

RCB posted 201/8 in their allotted 20 overs, with captain Rajat Patidar amassing 63 runs off 40 balls, laced with 4 boundaries and 4 sixes. Romario Shepherd (22 off 11) and Venkatesh Iyer (29 off 15) added important runs to the total in the end.

Ravi Bishnoi, Brijesh Sharma and Jofra Archer took two wickets each.
