Speculation is mounting that Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding might be back on track, following a video that recently went viral. In the clip, Mandhana’s father, Srinivas, is seen outside a prominent Mumbai restaurant with Palash’s sister, Palak Muchhal, and her husband, Mithoon. Palak was seen taking blessing from Srinivas.
The video has set social media abuzz, with fans speculating whether it hints at a possible reconciliation. However, no official confirmation has come from two familes. While some see it as a sign that wedding plans could resume, others suggest it was a casual meeting, given the long-standing ties between the two families. Observant viewers also noted that the footage is not recent and dates back to when Mandhana and Palash were still together.
Why Did Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal Call Off Their Wedding?
On November 20, Palash Muchhal proposed to Smriti Mandhana at DY Patil Stadium, with a wedding planned three days later. The plans were abruptly called off following rumours of private messages going viral, raising questions about Palash’s conduct.
Mandhana later addressed the matter on X, confirming that her wedding with Palash Muchhal had been called off.
“Over the last few weeks, there has been a lot of speculation about my personal life, and I feel it’s important to address it. I value my privacy, but I want to confirm that the wedding has been called off,” Mandhana wrote on Instagram.
“I would like to put this matter to rest and kindly ask everyone to do the same. Please respect the privacy of both families and give us the space to heal and move forward at our own pace,” she added.
She emphasized that her focus is on cricket and that she will continue striving to win honors for the nation.
“I feel there’s a greater purpose guiding all of us, and for me, it has always been to represent my country at the highest level. My focus will remain on playing for India and winning trophies for as long as I can.”
