Overview:
The season will conclude with five red-ball matches against Australia, beginning on January 21, 2027, in Nagpur.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will play nine ODIs at home in the 2026-27 season. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) revealed the schedule for the senior men’s team. The two legendary cricketers have retired from Test and T20Is. They are only active in the fifty-over format as they prepare for the World Cup in 2027, scheduled in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
India’s home season will start with a three-match ODI series against the West Indies, with the opening game set to be played in Trivandrum.
Overall, India will compete in nine ODIs, eight T20Is and five Tests, with Australia travelling to the Asian Country for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. West Indies, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka are the other three teams that will be playing in India in the 2026-27 season.
India will host Afghanistan for a one-off Test and three one-day internationals after the Indian Premier League 2026.
India will then travel to England for three fifty-over games and five T20Is. India will play two Test matches in Sri Lanka in August, after which they will play two Test matches against New Zealand, three one-day internationals and five T20Is in October and November.
Overall, Kohli and Rohit will be part of 18 ODIs in a period of 12 months.
