“We are bowling first as the wicket looks good and we want to chase the score. IPL is a big tournament, and everyone is chilled in the dressing room. We are not discussing the last game. We have a balanced side. The wicket in Chennai is playing well, and we want to restrict them and then complete the chase,” Axar Patel said.
CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was not sure about batting or bowling first.
“It is a fresh wicket, and bowlers would get help in the first phase. I was 50-50 on the toss front and happy to bat first. The batters have done well, but we need to capitalise on key moments. Nice to have Dewald Brevis in the side. MS (Dhoni) is in the hotel and supporting us,” he said.
