Jofra Archer’s tweet from 2013 goes viral after David Miller’s mistake results in Delhi’s defeat vs Gujarat

Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) fast bowler Jofra Archer’s tweet from 2013 went viral after David Miller’s knock in the IPL 2026 game between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 8.

The southpaw scored an unbeaten 41 runs off 20 balls, with three fours and three sixes at a strike rate of over 200. Following his hitting, a tweet from the English speedster went viral on X.

“Miller mad? Cricket at 11:30,” the tweet read.

Archer’s old tweets had gone viral on several occasions in the past. Delhi Capitals bought David Miller for INR 2 crore in the mini-auction. He was expected to contribute with the bat in the middle order, and he was at his best against the Titans. He was not needed in the first game but managed to score 21 not out in 18 balls with four boundaries in the second contest, playing a role in DC’s six-wicket win over the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI).

Delhi’s unbeaten run in the 19th season of the tournament ended with a 1-run defeat against Gujarat. Batting first, Shubman Gill’s team managed 210 for 4 in their allotted 20 overs.

Delhi started the chase on a strong note, with openers Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul adding 76 runs for the first wicket.

Rahul was ordinary in the previous two games, scoring 92 runs off 52 balls, laced with 11 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of over 175. However, he failed to finish the game for the Axar Patel-led team.

David Miller tried his best, but his mistake on the 5th ball of the last over resulted in his franchise’s defeat. He refused to take a single, which prevented Delhi from leveling the scores.

Kuldeep Yadav was run out on the sixth delivery of the 20th over. Delhi are fourth in the standings, following their win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and MI. They will compete against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their next match.
