Ravi Bishnoi explains the key factor behind RR’s edge over other IPL teams

Rajasthan Royals continued their winning streak in IPL 2026, claiming a six-wicket triumph over Royal Challengers Bengaluru. They have registererd for four consecutive victories in the tournament. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi spoke about the positive team environment, the noticeable improvements in the squad this season, and the outstanding performances of young talent Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Bishnoi dismissed Virat Kohli with a well-disguised googly and later removed Krunal Pandya, finishing with figures of 2-32. He remains at the top of the purple cap leaderboard this season.

Bishnoi highlighted the main reason behind the Rajasthan Royals’ strong start to the season

“We’re extremely happy to have won all four matches so far. We aim to maintain the same style of cricket rather than relying on just one or two players. With strong starts from the top orders, we are finishing games efficiently. Winning consistently has definitely boosted team morale. Most of us are around the same age, which helps us connect and understand each other well, and I believe that’s making a significant impact on our success,” Ravi Bishnoi said.

He opened up on making changes to his run-up and bowling action.

“From a technical standpoint, I’ve made just a few minor adjustments. Earlier, I used to start a bit farther from the umpire, which affected my diagonal run-up and led me to bowl with a normal jump. I’m still learning about using the crease effectively, but I’ve focused on my USP. Regarding my action, my non-bowling arm still tends to get stuck. I’ve tried to correct it, but it happens occasionally. Last year, my front foot was very heavy while bowling, so I’ve been working on these two or three small technical aspects. It’s not as polished as I’d like yet, and a few elements are still missing, but I hope to improve them as I continue,” he added.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played a sensational innings, smashing 78 runs from only 26 deliveries to guide Rajasthan Royals to a six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru. During the 203-run chase, he eased the pressure on RR by taking on RCB’s bowlers with remarkable composure and attacking flair.

His explosive knock included eight boundaries and seven towering sixes, securing him the IPL 2026 Orange Cap. With 200 runs from only four outings, he’s off to a remarkable start to the season.

“Vaibhav targets all of us in the nets. I often tell the team in the dressing room that I’m really glad he’s part of our squad. It doesn’t bother me if I get hit in practice. When he took a single off Krunal bhai’s first ball, we were all surprised, because he usually attacks left-arm spinners right from the start. But the way he’s batting right now is phenomenal,” he concluded.
