Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka acknowledged Mukul Choudhary’s brilliant knock with a heartfelt gesture after the IPL 2026 clash against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Chasing 182, Mukul played a fearless innings, finishing unbeaten on 54 off 27 balls to take LSG to a three-wicket win. After the win, Goenka personally congratulated him with a kiss on the forehead shared a long discussion about the knock, and appreciated his effort with a warm gesture that soon grabbed attention on social media.

The clip of their interaction quickly went viral, reflecting the significance of the victory for the franchise. With this result, LSG climbed to fifth position on the points table, registering their second win in three matches this season, 

Mukul walked in at a difficult stage when LSG were reduced to 125/6, with KKR dominating the game through disciplined bowling in the middle overs. The chase appeared nearly lost, but the youngster shifted the momentum with remarkable composure.

He started cautiously before going after the bowlers. The game turned in the 17th over when he targeted Vaibhav Arora, smashing two sixes to bring LSG back into contention.

He carried that momentum forward, taking on Kartik Tyagi with another set of powerful hits to keep the chase alive. The defining moment came in the 19th over against Cameron Green, where Mukul produced a game-changing assault—two sixes and a boundary that dramatically reduced the equation.

In the final over, he remained calm under pressure and finished the chase with authority, striking two more sixes off Vaibhav Arora to seal a memorable win. His unbeaten 54 off 27 balls, featuring 2 fours and 7 sixes, stood out.
