Royal Challengers Bengaluru made one change to playing XI for their third match of the indian Premier League 2026 against the Rajasthan Royals on April 10. Jacob Duffy was dropped from the playing XI to add Josh Hazlewood to the group. Hazlewood, who was recovering from an injury, regained fitness and was drafted straightaway into the starting XI.
It was expected, as the Aussie pacer was RCB’s top performer in their title-winning campaign in 2025.
“Jacob Duffy misses, and Josh Hazlewood returns to the team. Duffy has done well for us, but Hazlewood is an experienced player, and his presence makes us strong,” RCB captain Rajat Patidar said.
Meanwhile, RR captain Riyan Parag has won the toss and elected to bowl first against the in-form Bengaluru side.
“We are bowling first, as it has been raining for a few days, and there is moisture in the wicket, and we want to take advantage of it. The wicket was on the drier side, but it changed because of rain,” he said.
Parag hailed Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for their performances.
“I am happy with the way they are playing and contributing to the success of the team,” he added.
Parag refused to get carried away after three victories on the trot.
“We have won three matches, but it is in the past. Our coach Kumar Sangakkara told us to focus on today’s game,” he revealed.
Rajasthan have won three consecutive matches, while Bengaluru are unbeaten in two games so far.
